1,200+ sq. ft. · Freestanding wrap-around deck
The new deck extends along the right side of the home and across part of the rear, connecting with the existing front deck to create a generous outdoor-living space. The rear run is straight and stops short of the full width of the house; the left side remains open. Sacred Innovations built the new structure with independent support rather than fastening it to the house with a ledger.
Pressure-treated framing supports rolled-edge pressure-treated decking, with multiple stair access points connecting the new outdoor space to the yard.

Follow the finished deck along the home and into the backyard. Warm wood, open-view railing, and stair access bring more than 1,200 square feet of new outdoor living space together.

The perimeter
The guardrail system uses wood posts and wood rails with welded-wire hog-panel-style infill. The wire preserves the view across the property without changing the wood-framed character of the deck. Black metal handrails were installed at the stairs only.
Everyday access
The new footprint changed access to the home's existing outdoor water connections, so plumbing was rerouted to keep garden-hose bibs conveniently reachable from the outer perimeter instead of leaving them trapped behind or beneath the deck.
Future planning
A convenient water-supply tie-in was left for the full-size swimming pool planned off the rear run. The connection was part of the deck planning; the pool itself was not part of this completed project scope.
What the project demonstrates
Large outdoor projects are easier to live with when access, utilities, stairs, railing, grade changes, and future improvements are considered before the surface goes down. On this project, those decisions were coordinated with more than 1,200 square feet of new outdoor living space.
